Sales Manager - 15/09/22

The Sales Manager’s mission is to primarily promote the hotel and where possible, hotels belonging to the chain in your area/region. This position is accountable for managing the total sales effort within a hotel including the integrity of the customer base of key accounts/key prospects the generation of revenue consistent with hotel objectives. The sales manager performs his/her duties within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms and by internal regulation as specified by DOSM or General Manager or Managing director.

Vereiste vaardigheden:   1. Lead to drive total hotel revenue and take responsibility for the achievement of budgeted revenue streams. 2. Develop and execute sales strategies through preparation of a strategic sales plan. 3. Implementation and administration of the sales budget and the establishment of annual individual sales goals. 4. Ensure understanding of the competitive landscape, local and feeder market dynamics, and changing customer needs to ensure property success. 5. Lead effective efforts to coordinate strategies for group sales and to optimize conversion. 6. Provide guidance for local marketing initiatives. 7. Communicate revenue management standards and best practices. 8. Develops short, medium and long-term strategies for hotels through the commercial focus matrix and provide consultative support to other commercial support functions. 9. Prepare, analyse and write reports to outline business progress and opportunities. 10. Assist with the account diagnostics process and validate conclusions for negotiated business and on-line sales strategies. 11. Maintain effective working relationships with all key suppliers 12. Excellent organization skills. 13. Ability to work well under time pressure and / or demanding travel schedules. 14. Excellent interpersonal skills and a full understanding of professional ethics, decorum and social skills required for extensive interaction with customers, investment owners and business partners. 15. Ability to perform critical analysis. 16. Provides customer intelligence in evaluating the market and economic trends that may lead to changes in sales strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations. 17. Reviews the strategic alignment review (STR) report, competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotel’s market position. 18. Records the statistics of his sales accounts. 19. Defines precisely guest requirements and ensures that the guest services offered corresponds effectively to their requests. 20. Ensure that all sales related activities support customer satisfaction, retention and new business development goals. 21. Ensure to have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities. 22. Ensure to have an up-to-date knowledge of all M&E related venues as well as the F&B offering of the hotel. 23. Maintain excellent communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers. 24. Ensure that the hotel is registered and participates with as many corporate travel programs as possible. 25. Contribute to succession planning within the hotel and company. 26. Ensure comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation. 27. Ensure clos overview of RFP process and related systems to ensure maximum exposure and participation. 28. Ensure adhere to hotel principles and procedures 29. Ensure Famtrips are planned & organized & executed. 30. Ensure to be fully aware of and adhere to the company’s credit policies, rules & regulations. 31. Ensure sales of Tangla club memberships is maximized. 32. Participation in Manager on Duty shifts as required. 33. Ensure observance of safety and security rules at all times. 34. Maintains a system in place to report sales call & other sales activates (Opera). 35. Development of new products and services corresponding to five stars hotel, in order to reinforce the branding of the hotel. 36. Presenting sales results to the board on a quarterly and annual basis (to be adapt). 37. Supports the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources. 38. Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to Tangla Hotel Brussels. 39. Gains understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution bot prior to, and during the program/event.
