Food & Beverage Manager - 21/02/20

Main purpose of job : As a passionate Food and Beverage Manager, you are in charge of the various outlets of the hotel: restaurant, bar, room service and banqueting. You manage the service and stewarding team and work closely together with the Head chef to overview the kitchen team also. On an operational level, you are expected to lead your team by example. You are responsible for forecasting, planning and controlling the department. A good balance between floor and desk time management is essential. You report to the General Manager of the hotel. Responsibilities / Tasks : ◾Responsible for the entire F&B team, meaning: Restaurant, bar, breakfast, conference and banqueting (12 persons, completed with extra’s if needed). ◾The F&B manager is working in close collaboration with the kitchen Chef developing new projects aiming to increase the guest satisfaction. ◾The F&B manager is responsible of the daily operations of his department such as: •Leading and training the team •Recruiting new team members •Welcoming guests and helping operations whenever necessary •Making of the weekly schedules •Creating and controlling procedures •Organizing regular departmental meetings •Follow up on the several costs linked to the department (beverage cost, food cost, staff cost,…) •Communication with the other departments •Improve existing concepts and projects and create new projects ◾The F&B manager will be responsible for the follow up of the yearly budget. He will define together with the General Manager the budget and will do afterwards the necessary to obtain this budget. ◾The F&B manager will be directly under the General Manager and will report to him on regular basis.

Compétences requises:   You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment. ◾A minimum of 2 years experience as an all-round F&B supervisor in a Hotel – Experience in 5* property is a plus. ◾A motivated and dynamic individual who pays attention to details and manage to share his time between operations and administration ◾Team player/people manager. ◾Somebody with a solid character. ◾Somebody who really cares about guest and staff satisfaction. ◾French and English is a must, Dutch is a plus. ◾Knowledge of Opera, PMI and Micros is a plus.
