Front of House Manager - 03/07/18

Front of house manager duties and responsibilities o Work organization : organizes and sets up work schedules by considering the occupancy of the hotel, establishes the schedules for the receptionists (swing shifts), does the prep work for the payroll office o Supervises and checks the efficacy of the staff: - Welcome (reservations/cancellations; check-in/check-out; informations - Communication (phone service, messages) - Cash register (invoices, payments and saldi) - Administration (data-processing) - Security o Is in charge of all communications between the management and employees as well as side supporting departments such as reservations, sales, revenue. Gives work instructions and guides the workers. Takes part in staff head of department meetings, revenue strategy meetings. o Guides new colleagues, takes care of their training o Solves problems and deals with complaints as well as internal and external guest survey channels o Guarantees a friendly welcome to all guests. Checks the presentation style of colleagues. Checks that internal procedures and rules are respected. o Takes part in front office work and their daily activities. o Supervises and coordinates the soft F&B outlets(Breakfast team – 24/7 Pantry shop). o Respects and implements all Hilton restricted brand standards and guidelines.

Compétences requises:   - language skills (English, French, Dutch) - previous supervisory experience in Front Office within the hotel/leisure/retail sector - Hilton experience is a major plus - high level of IT proficiency - high level of commercial awareness and sales capabilities - experience of managing people and developing people - previous experience of managing a department and Profit & Loss account - excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills - accountable and resilient - commitment to delivering a high level of customer service - ability to work under pressure - excellent grooming standards - flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations - ability to work on your own and as part of team additional assets - familiar with Property Management Systems (OnQ) - a degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
