Mice Sales Manager - 31/01/20

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing / General Manager, you will be responsible for achieving all MICE related room nights and associated F&B revenue targets. This will be accomplished through driving and securing new business for the hotel and maximizing revenue opportunities from an existing portfolio. You also will be required to identify future opportunities within the industry and build positive long term relationships. The Meeting and Event Industry has no secret for you. You know all the big International MICE agencies as you have already worked with them. You know how to qualify your leads and carry them until the confirmation. You will be also responsible for the Association Business. Your main goal is to reach the budget for the residential, group only and banquet segments by increasing the Tangla brand awareness; receive a maximum of leads and to confirm them. 1. Experience with hands-on business development and a proven track record in achieving sales results 2. Ability to actively 'hunt' new business with drive and determination to achieve room nights and revenue targets 3. Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required. 4. Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to build and develop long lasting relationships with clients and PCOs 5. Sound business acumen with strong negotiation and closing skills 6. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritise and achieve deadlines 7. Articulate verbal and written communication skills 8. Professional personal presentation representing Tangla Hotel brand with pride 9. Experience in managing large convention spaces 10. Achieve budgeted goals by executing sales activities. 11. Create and maintain a MICE and Association client portfolio. 12. Ensure the development of annual sales goals. 13. Maintains effective correspondence and communication with the whole Sales team. 14. Prepares proposals with the Event Design dept. in order to maximize profit while satisfying guest needs. 15. Conducts outside sales calls to solicit existing and new guests. 16. Participation to tradeshows, forums and workshops. 17. Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment weekly. 18. Ensures maximum occupancy of the meeting and event spaces and rooms on a daily basis 19. Increases sales volume and profitability (YOY). 20. Keeps Sales Department informed of group booking status during the Sales and Revenue meetings. 21. Bench marketing 22. Participates in Duty Management
