People: • Help create a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey. • Ensure Staff and Manager awareness of HR policies and procedures • Assist with progressive discipline processes in accordance with hotel or company policies including progressive disciplinary process, performance management process, and related programmes to foster productivity and enhance performance by providing constructive feedback. • Conduct new team member orientation providing information on hotel or company standards, policies, procedures, rules and team member benefit programmes. Manage induction program. • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees. • Ensure hotel or company hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed in a timely manner for recruiting and selection processes. Build relations with outside contacts. • Organize staff events such as end-of-year party, activities to collect pledges for the IHG Foundation, etc • Organize trainings and assists in the development of all staff members, whether with internal or external trainings: issue invitations to attend programs, maintain records of training attendance, implement Orientation, promote and facilitate cross training, job rotation and multi skilling • Responsible for the regular updating of the Heart of House (employee corridors/areas) • Manage standardized responses to correspondence • Make and update job descriptions. Manage the on-line recruitment through the web sites used. Post open positions on the internal and external job boards and channels. Actively recruit and do a first selection and interview of candidates. Follow up with the recruitment communication. Also adherence to pre, during and postemployment checklists. Guest experience: • Assist in creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience. • Make time to interact with guests to solicit feedback and build relationships to understand how team members can increase guest satisfaction. Responsible business: • Help develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community. • Research and investigate all workplace issues to discover facts, identify potential risks to the hotel or company, and facilitate resolution through your employee relations programmes. • Assist Managers in developing work practices that are in line with health and safety policies and manage rehabilitation programs • Collect and maintain data from exit interviews, turnover statistics, absenteeism reports to identify trends, training needs, and supervisory issues. • Visit schools on a regular basis to build connections and future opportunities in line with IHG Academy. • Data base management
